When we first began our journey to open Pletcher's on Monroe, we honestly weren't sure what to expect. In a quiet town full of antique stores and beautiful historical buildings, we were new - different - unconventional even.
The start was sluggish; we had many people unaware we were open even with our lights on. Gradually folks got curious of the new pictures in our windows - some saw us on Facebook or other online platforms. Our door began to open more and more - with new faces lighting up upon discovering the unexpected in our old building.
We have grown quickly from 3 artists at the beginning to over 25 contributing artists today. Our collection includes various forms of media, innovative ideas, and original mediums, featuring both vibrant colors and muted tones, ensuring there is something to suit every decor.
Our artis have contributed: Original artworks from 4" x 4" to 48" x 60" - framed as well as gallery wrapped prints ready to hang - painted furniture - resin art - fossils - photos - note cards - unique statues and jewelry and more. Folks are usually surprised by the variety and amount of art we have in store - and when we tell them all but 1 of are artists are LOCAL - they are amazed by the amount of native talent. I just say "Welcome to Artcadia" ~ Kat
