The Heart of the Art

Marc and I met many years ago and from the beginning we had a great relationship when it came to art. His talents paired with my creative imagination opened a door allowing us to work together on a vision of colors we could share with the world.

We spent quite a bit of time visiting our own favorite art galleries and shows, meeting and chatting with other artists and art lovers as we went. We visited Arcadia, Fl often and adored local antique shops filled with history. Shelves lined with forgotten arts like handmade glasswork and old wooden handmade furniture. That and the nearby Peace River sealed the deal - we wanted to live in Arcadia. The only thing missing here was an art gallery for us to contribute to.

Several years after we purchased our home in historic Arcadia, we were given an incredible opportunity. We were currently in motion to rent a vendor space, when a local building went up for sale that more than met our needs. We trimmed the fat at home and began building our dream.

In May of 2025 we opened the doors to Pletcher's on Monroe with limited items and three artists - one was Marc. Now just a few months later we have over 20 artists' works hanging on our walls and displayed on our shelves. It started with a pulse, a little dream - here we are now pumping Art into Arcadia.
