Why Arcadia, Fl?

Marc is originally from Edwardsburg, Michigan; I am from New Bedford, Massachusetts. Neither of those places have anything to do with Arcadia. What they do encompass is small town feel, community, diversity, nature and history.

We met while working in Orlando, Fl in 2000, then lived together in Kissimmee. It didn't take long for us to realize our shared love of nature. Soon, we began spending many days hiking the scrubs or paddling in rivers, creeks, bays - anywhere we could get. We called Haines City home for many years, raising our daughters and venturing further into the local trails and waterways. Once we met the Peace River, we were hooked.

After trying out Port Charlotte and Rotonda West for a minute, we realized we kept driving back to 'that river'. The Peace had our hearts. We sold everything and drifted around waiting for the perfect house to be found; and it was found in Arcadia.

Five years later, we were searching for a way to go bigger with our Florida-inspired arts, and an opportunity bigger than life appeared. It's been quite a bit of work bringing this dream to life, but we believe it fits right in this small town of community, nature, diversity, and history.
